Our Programs
CEOP connects programs and support across the educational journey, helping students move from college access and enrollment through transition, persistence, graduation, and future opportunities.
College Enrichment & Outreach Programs brings together programs and initiatives that support students across the P–20 educational pipeline, from early college awareness and preparation through enrollment, transition, persistence, graduation, and future opportunities.
Each CEOP program has its own purpose, student population, and area of focus. Together, they form a connected support system designed to help students access higher education, build confidence, strengthen academic momentum, and move toward graduation and long-term success.
Through outreach, orientation, mentoring, tutoring, cohort-based support, individualized guidance, and graduate-school preparation, CEOP helps students and families navigate the university experience with greater clarity and support.
While our programs are open to all students, CEOP is especially committed to students who are first-generation to college, from low-income backgrounds, from rural communities, and from populations historically underserved in higher education. Through this work, we help remove barriers, strengthen connection, and create clearer pathways to success.
A Connected Student Success Pathway
CEOP’s programs work at different points in the student journey while contributing to one shared goal: helping more students access higher education, succeed at UNM, and finish strong.
College Access & Outreach
Helping students and families explore college options, understand admissions and financial aid, complete enrollment steps, and identify pathways into higher education.
Orientation & Transition
Welcoming students and families into the UNM community and helping new Lobos begin college with greater connection, clarity, preparation, and confidence.
Belonging & First-Year Support
Creating opportunities for students to build relationships, find community, connect with mentors, and develop the confidence to navigate their first year.
Academic Support & Persistence
Connecting students with mentoring, tutoring, peer learning, academic guidance, success planning, and support services that strengthen momentum toward graduation.
Research & Future Pathways
Preparing students for undergraduate research, graduate education, professional opportunities, leadership, and continued success beyond their bachelor’s degree.
A connected pathway for student access, transition, belonging, persistence, graduation, and future success.
Programs Connected by Partnership
Student success is strengthened when programs, people, and resources work together.
Working Across UNM and Beyond
Our work is strengthened through collaboration across the Division of Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs, colleges, schools, academic advisors, faculty, staff, families, and community partners.
These partnerships help CEOP respond to student needs, improve transitions, connect students with academic and financial resources, and create a more coordinated experience across the university.
By working together, CEOP helps build a support system that is more connected, responsive, and centered on students.
