Our Mission, Vision, & Goals
College Enrichment & Outreach Programs is guided by a mission and vision rooted in service, opportunity, and the belief that higher education can change the direction of a student’s life. Our work is focused on helping students and families understand the university experience, connect with support, and move forward with confidence.
CEOP serves students at important points in their educational journey, including the decision to pursue college, the transition into UNM, and the continued work it takes to stay enrolled and complete a degree. We do this through direct student support, strong campus partnerships, and programs designed to meet students where they are.

Our mission and vision shape how we welcome students, support families, and work with campus and community partners. They remind us that student success is not built through one program or one moment. It is built through education that changes lives, systems that are willing to improve, and partnerships that students and families can trust.
Our goals include:
- Change lives through education: Help students and families access the opportunities, relationships, and support that make higher education possible, meaningful, and connected to their future.
- Improve systems that impact student success: Identify barriers, strengthen processes, and support more student-centered approaches that make the university experience easier to understand and navigate.
- Serve as a trusted campus and community partner: Collaborate with families, schools, colleges, advisors, faculty, staff, and community organizations to create a more connected experience for students.
Through this work, CEOP remains focused on the people at the center of our mission: students, their families, and the communities they represent. Our role is to help open the door, provide support along the way, and contribute to a UNM experience where more students can finish strong.
