Our Programs
College Enrichment & Outreach Programs (CEOP) oversees a portfolio of federally funded, institutionally supported, and self-sustaining programs designed to expand access, support student transition, and improve persistence and graduation outcomes.
Student Support Services (SSS)
Funding Source: U.S. Department of Education (TRIO)
Students Served: First-generation, low-income, and students with documented disabilities
Primary Focus: Retention, academic success, and graduation
Student Support Services provides comprehensive academic and personal support to eligible undergraduate students to help them persist and graduate from the University of New Mexico.

Status & Outlook:
Two renewal applications (SSS Regular & STEM) submitted in July 2024. Award notifications expected Spring 2025.
Educational Opportunity Center (EOC)
Funding Source: U.S. Department of Education (TRIO)
Students Served: Adults seeking college access or re-entry
Primary Focus: College access, enrollment, and educational planning
The Educational Opportunity Center supports adult learners as they explore, prepare for, and enroll in postsecondary education through personalized guidance and advising.

McNair Scholars Program

Students Served: First-generation and underrepresented undergraduates
Primary Focus: Graduate and doctoral preparation
The McNair Scholars Program prepares students for doctoral study through faculty-mentored research, academic enrichment, and graduate school readiness.

New Student Orientation (NSO)
Funding Source: Self-Generated Program Revenue
Students Served: All incoming first-year and transfer students
Primary Focus: Transition, enrollment readiness, and early engagement
New Student Orientation provides the university’s primary transition experience, connecting students and families to academic advising, campus resources, and community.
